Help with VMD
Prepare your tracks and cues, then check the band's phones before rehearsal.

Getting ready
Load your audio
Bring your tracks into the workstation and check the tempo and bar alignment.
Label the sections
Mark the song sections, add repeat counts and write instructions for musicians and vocals.
Check the cues
Choose a voice and prepare the spoken calls. Listen through the arrangement before sharing it with the band.
You can use VMD in your browser. Installing it is optional.
Common questions
Am I joining a band or a session?
A band invitation adds your account to a permanent band workspace. Members can open the band's active Live session from that workspace.
Can guests use a code or QR code?
Guests can enter a session code, follow a session link or scan the QR code shared by the music director. You do not need an account to join a live session.
Current sessions admit people with a valid code or link without an admin approval step. Keep the link within your group; it works until the session ends.
Enter a session codeHow do I hear the click and cues?
Connect your headphones and use the audio control in Live to enable browser audio. Choose the Musicians or Vocals cue feed and check your click and cue levels. Track audio is available when the director shares it.
Listen on the device and headphones you will use while playing. Check volume, output routing and that the browser stays active.
Does it work without internet?
Hosted Live needs a working internet connection. Prepared peer rehearsal and Stage setups need preparation and testing on the devices and network you will use.
Venue Wi-Fi and phone hotspots can restrict connections between devices. Discovery and audio sharing do not automatically work on every network. Follow the setup in the workstation and run a rehearsal test before relying on it at a performance.
What should we check before playing?
Play through the arrangement and confirm the section names, repeat counts and spoken calls. Join from each musician's phone, enable audio and check the cue feed and personal mix. Test the actual network and any prepared peer or Stage setup, including what happens if a device disconnects.
